Weight Training section

April 17, 2006

(this section will not be updated anymore – Because moved to a very small place, or always not at home)

I have a Palm handheld device that I download a magazine called testerone nation. I am using Palmfiction program as the e-book reader because it allows me to open the pdb with a open sourced program (I forgot the name of the program) and it saves the bookmarks in the memory stick. I use CFB timer to countdown my rest periods. CardTXT and SiED (instead of wordsmith since they are freeware) to save memos in the memory stick it in case the battery falls out for unknown reasons.

the first important thing to gain some progress is to eat, the second important thing is to make room for the power cage and a iron weight set. Since life for me is always uncertain, maintaining these two things has always been difficult.

Why am I doing weight training? Since I live in Canada and I think labor costs to hire someone to work for you is expensive and to make a salary is difficult. I hope that weight training will prevent injuries.

I do not do stretching, I do warmups with your self fitness (game), I use the cardio options only. Usually I do five minutes then quit the game. I train for strength and not hypertrophy because hypertrophy will come later.

I train first the legs first because according to the magazine that I have read it says that your lower body size will limit (bottleneck) your upper body size.

Romanian Deadlifts and NGHR (natural glute ham raise) for the hamstrings.

One leg squat on stool (I forgot the name, its in the 2005 articles), step ups with weight on bar, squat, sumo deadlifts for the quads.

chin up with a towel for forearms and biceps. Dips and bench press for chest and triceps.

Power Cleans for full body/Olympic style training. Overhead press with squat for stability.

I sometimes add pipe insulation to fatten the bar for forearm work. I will need to do grip work, rows, abs and GPP work as well.

I am not making a lot of progress, both in picture or numbers, but it is better then not able to do anything.
